The UCLA Bruins did not have the season they envisioned after making it to the Pac-12 championship game last season, but they still will play a quality opponent in the postseason in the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Hyundai Sun Bowl and the game is on New Year's Eve on Tuesday and is live on CBS from El Paso, Texas and has a top 20 ranked team in Jim Mora's school and they could get to double digit wins with a victory and the game is streaming online.
The Bruins went 6-3 in the Pac-12 this season and their division was won by the Arizona State Sun Devils, who lost to the Stanford Cardinal in the conference championship game and now they will play in the Rose Bowl. The Bruins come into the game after winning against the USC Trojans on the road in their rivalry game at the Coliseum and now they face off against a solid offensive team in the Hokies in the Sun Bowl. The Bruins come into the game averaging nearly 200 rushing yards per game and quarterback Brett Hundley has been one of the most productive players in the country with over 3,400 total yards and he also scored 31 combined touchdowns and that means the Va Tech defense will have to be looking for him to run and pass on Tuesday as a prime dual threat QB. The team opened the season 5-0 before losing back to back games against Stanford and Oregon and down the stretch they won four of the past five games.

Jim Mora is trying to lead UCLA to its first bowl win in four years and the Hokies are continuing a run of success under head coach Frank Beamer and the Bruins are looking to get to double digit victories for the first time since 2005 and that would be a nice accomplishment after missing out on the Pac-12 title. Hundley has been the best player for the Bruins and he leads the team in rushing with nearly 600 yards on the ground and he had over 250 total yards in the final victory against So Cal. Hundley has only thrown one interception over the final eight games of the season and More is hoping for another performance like that.
The interesting matchup in this game will be the Virginia Tech defense up against the UCLA offense, as the Hokies are allowing just 17 points per game and with the way UCLA and Hundley can score, that will be a challenge on Tuesday. The team is averaging over 240 yards passing and they come into the game after defeating Virginia in their rivalry game to end the season on the road and they finished the year winning two of the past three games. The team started the season 6-1 before hitting a mini slump and now they have the chance to end things on a high note against UCLA in the Sun Bowl.
