Sunday Night Football Schedule: TV Start Time and Channel For Dallas Cowboys and Eagles Game

Dec 29, 2013 05:46 PM EST

The Sunday night football game on NBC in Week 17 of the season has the Dallas Cowboys playing for the third straight year with a chance to win the NFC East and this time they will be hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium in a game starting up at 8:30 pm and is the final SNF and matchup of the entire season and will finish off the NFC with the final playoff spot.

The Cowboys come into the game after previously losing to the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins in the final game of the year to lose the division and this time around Tony Romo will not be in the lineup and he is out for the playoffs as well and that could change what Jerry Jones decides to do at the end of the season with Jason Garrett and after signing Romo to a huge contract this puts things in a tough spot for the franchise. The Cowboys can stay undefeated in the division with a win over the Eagles and they come into the game after winning a close game over the Redskins at the last minute and that game saw over 200 yards passing from Romo and now Kyle Orton will be starting the matchup.

The Cowboys come into the week after ranking near the bottom of the league in passing yards allowed per game and in rushing yards allowed and now they need to hold back an Eagles team that dropped over 50 points on the Chicago Bears last week in a game that was meaningless for them. Romo had the chance to go over 4,000 yards this season and now he won't get the chance to do it with his back injury and Dez Bryant comes in having a great season with nearly 1,200 yards passing and now Orton gets the chance to try and get the team into the playoffs.

The Eagles started the season 1-3 on the year before rebounding and now they are in position to get the division title with a win against the Cowboys on the road and they come in after scoring 54 points last week against a Bears team that needed the game and Nick Foles comes in leading the league in passing percentage and he has the chance to take his team to the playoffs in the first season under Chip Kelly and LeSean McCoy comes in leading in rushing and he has nearly 1,500 yards and the Eagles have a top 10 offense and their offense is ranked in the top spot in rushing yards per game with 160 yards per game.

The Eagles have won six of the last seven games on the schedule and the team lost two weeks ago to the Vikings and before that the team had won five straight games after a two game losing streak and now they are in position to send the Cowboys back home disappointed for the third straight season. The Eagles already lost to the Cowboys this season and now the Eagles have the chance to get back after missing out the past few years and that would be a big deal under head coach Chip Kelly and would be huge for the Cowboys if they lose again.
