Golden State had the upperhand against the Clippers much of last season. They won three of four games during the regular season series. The team is hoping that success continues this year as they are aiming for their Christmas Day matchup to be a preview of what is to come in the playoffs in 2014.

Golden State is just surviving right now. They are finding ways to win despite their offense stalling lately. In the win against Denver, Golden State scored under 95 points and still found a way to get the win. Head coach Mark Jackson is hopeful the team can get on a constant track and it starts with a win against the Clippers.

The team has won two straight-games, but are needing to figure out their home woes. After winning their first five on home court, the team is 4-4 since. David West is leading the charge, putting up a nine-game streak of double-doubles.

Los Angeles is trying to keep pace while they are without JJ Redick. The Clippers have lost four of their last seven games without the shooting guard who suffered an elbow strain on Nov. 29. As a result, Jamaal Crawford is stepping in and making a difference. Since moving up to the starter role, the veteran is averaging 20.0 points per game. As a team, the Clippers are averaging 113.6 points per game as they do not seem to miss Redick.

The Los Angeles Clippers have found some success when playing on Christmas Day. The team is looking to extend their win-streak for their third-straight Christmas Day win as they face the Golden State Warriors. The young Warriors squad is ready for the test that is the Clippers as the two will likely meet in the postseason.
