Arsenal remains in the top spot in the Premier League despite a thrashing this weekend from Manchester City and on TV manager Arsene Wenger said that the team still covets superstar Liverpool striker Luis Suarez after the Gunners made attempts at him over the summer.

Suarez is leading the Premier League in scoring and he has been excellent for the Reds, taking the captain's armband on Sunday and playing like a good citizen and according to ESPNFC.com, Arsenal still wishes they could have him. Wenger was interviewed by the French TV show Telefoot and said that the Gunners would love to have the Uruguay star and that despite his antics and other issues, that Wenger has heard he is "easy" to work with. This all comes after the team tried to poach him in a deal for 40 million pounds and clearly that did not work out.

Suarez was out for the first five matches of the Premier League after biting Chelsea star Branislav Ivanovic last season and he has been great so far this season, going for 17 goals in 11 matches and he could be in line for the golden boot. He was excellent once again on Sunday, as Liverpool thrashed Tottenham and he scored another two goals and now has a three goal lead over Sergio Aguero, who will be out for the holiday schedule with an injury.

Suarez starred in the 5-0 victory against Tottenham at White Hart Lane and that performance helped Andre Villas-Boas get sacked and now the team is moving on. Liverpool likely will try and keep Suarez for the long term after they originally signed him over from Ajax back in 2011 for a 22 million deal.

"I think that every defender in England hates playing against him. He has a strong, provocative personality. From the information I gathered on him it appears that on a day-to-day level he is really easy to work with," said Wenger to ESPNFC.
