The English Premier League schedule picks up on Saturday after a break and the EPL has a tight group at the top of the standings, as Arsenal is leading things this season with a five point lead over Liverpool with Chelsea and Manchester City behind, while Everton is in the fifth position after a draw with the Gunners on Sunday.

The upcoming weekend schedule has a number of important matches before the end of month games and this will be a crucial time for clubs, as the Champions League schedule ends before the knockout rounds next year and teams can concentrate on the EPL through December. Saturday has some big matches, including Arsenal and Manchester City playing in the early game and that will have big implications on the table with the way that Man City has been performing and while Arsenal has a nice lead right now, they don't want to slip up heading into the end of the month and early next year.

Cardiff City and West Brom will be playing as well, while the Arsenal and Manchester City match will be away from Emirates Stadium and at Etihad Stadium. Chelsea will be taking on Crystal Palace and they come in as winners of their group in the Champions League this week, while Arsenal finished as the runners up in their set. Everton and Fulham will be going at it on Saturday as well, while Newcastle United and Southampton will be playing at St. James Park and that comes before West Ham and Sunderland, while Hull City and Stoke City will be playing the late match at the Kingston Communications Stadium and that could be very good after the comeback victory Stoke City pulled off last weekend with a stunning 3-2 win against Chelsea with a 90th minute goal from Oussama Assaidi.

The schedule picks up again on Sunday with three matches and it has Aston Villa hosting Manchester United at Villa Park and Man U needs a positive result here after last weekend, although they did get a win in the Champions League, while Norwich and Swansea City will be playing in the other early match. The late match on the day is Tottenham hosting Liverpool at White Hart Lane and with Luis Suarez leading the way over the past two weeks, Liverpool has been moving up the EPL table and they are now in the second position after last weekend's results.

Arsenal comes into the weekend in the top of the table with 35 points and they have 11 wins with two draws and two losses this season, while Liverpool comes in five points back and tied with Chelsea with 30 points. Both clubs have the same amount of wins with nine as well as three losses and three draws, while Manchester City is right out of it with 29 points. Man City is just ahead of Everton on the table, as they have 28 points in the fifth spot and Tottenham comes in within striking distance on Liverpool, as they have 27 points heading into their matchup. Newcastle United is right behind that in the table followed by Southampton and Manchester United.
