Dec 07, 2013 07:33 PM EST

The Pac-12 championship game is finally here on Saturday night and the Stanford Cardinal will try to make it into the Rose Bowl with a matchup on the road against the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe and the matchup should be very tough for both sides as they try to win the title, as ASU is undefeated at home in 2013 and David Shaw has put together one of the best defensive units in the nation.

Stanford is ranked seventh in the nation and looking for another Rose Bowl win under Shaw, while Arizona State has put up some great performances this season on offense and it should be a tough challenge for the Cardinal defense. Taylor Kelly has been very good this season with over 3,000 yards passing this season and the team comes in on a seven game winning streak after beating Arizona in the Territorial Cup. That was a huge win for ASU, as it kept the Pac-12 championship game in Tempe and that is where they are 7-0 this season and that could turn the ride for the team against Stanford, who had national title hopes during the season before losing to Utah and now they have the chance to get into one of the major games in the Rose Bowl with a win.

Check here for the Stanford and Arizona State live coverage.

The Territorial Cup was last week and getting the big win over Arizona was huge for this game and Kelly comes in after passing for 274 yards against the Wildcats and 3,337 yards on the season and he is directing an offense that is putting up over 40 points per game this season and they are ranked seventh in the nation and they should have a hard time scoring against a defense like Stanford's, which has some tough players up front. These two teams have already played this season and that game saw ASU make a nice comeback after Stanford went up big and they allowed Kelly to pass for three touchodwns in the fourth quarter and Stanford comes in after winning two straight since losing to USC.

Stanford has some impressive wins this season, including three straight against UCLA, Oregon State and Oregon when two of them were top 10 opponents and all three were in the top 25. The Pac-12 championship game has the Stanford Cardinal visiting the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tenoe starting up at 7:45 on ESPN and streaming online from the WatchESPN main website.
