The English Premier League schedule picked up on Saturday with great matches and there were some fantastic and exciting results and scores, as Chelsea was upset by Stoke City in their match, while Manchester United fell once again to Newcastle United and Liverpool was able to win with Luis suarez scoring, while Manchester City drew with Southampton.
Arsenal plays on Sunday and remains at the top of the Barclays table, while Liverpool was able to move up with their victory and now they are in second with as many points as Chelsea, who had a disappointing performance against Stoke City and Manchester City was pushed out of the top three by those results after their match on Saturday. Everton remains in place at number five and behind that is Newcastle United, who pulled off a big upset of Manchester United, while Tottenham is next and they are playing the late game on Saturday and that has them above Southampton for now, who were able to get a good result and Manchester United moved down, while Norwich was able to beat West Brom to move up in the table as well and now Crystal Palace has moved up and Fulham will be playing on Sunday.
Manchester United was defeated on one goal from Yohan Cabaye at home and that is a huge upset victory and so was the loss for Chelsea against Stoke City and these two results are big for the table and for the teams in the league. Crystal Palace was able to win over Cardiff City and they got two goals from Cameron Jerome as well as Marouane Chamakh and the losses for Chelsea and Man U puts them in a tough position as they try to get up in the table and Tottenham is playing against Sunderland on Saturday in the late match.
Liverpool continued their very solid play as of late and Luis Suarez now has five goals in the past two matches after getting the first four in the win on Wednesday and he had a hat trick within 20 minutes in that game. This time around he scored the third goal of the match and that came after a couple of own goals and there ended up being three in the match and Liverpool was easily able to get by West Ham United and the other results of the day allowed the team to move up in the table.
Southampton and Manchester City played to a draw and the most exciting game of the day was Chelsea and Stoke City, as it was a back and forth matchup on both sides and now the Blues must regroup and rebound. The team got two goals from Andre Schurrle and that was it and Peter Crouch got things started off for Stoke City before Oussama Assaidi scored the winning goal in the 90th minute and that was stunning. West Brom was downed by Norwich after two goals from Gary Hooper and Leroy Fer and now on Sunday Arsenal will try and increase their lead on the league table.
