The Baylor Bears have fallen out of national title contention after losing bad to Oklahoma State last week and now the team will hit the road for another Big 12 conference matchup against the TCU Horned Frogs and the game will be on ESPN2 starting at 3:30 pm and streaming online from WatchESPN and the team must win to stay alive for the league title at Amon Carter Stadium.

The Bears have been one of the best offensive teams in all of college football this season and while they lost to Oklahoma State, the team is still ranked in the top 10 in a number of big categories, including passing yards, rushing yards and scoring and that will make the game on the road for the Bears even tougher for TCU at home. Bryce Petty had himself in the Heisman conversation while the team was undefeated and depending on how the final two games shake out, he could end up in the top part of the voting, as he has been very efficient and highly productive with 3,351 yards and 26 touchdowns on the season and he still has two games to go to add numbers to that. Lache Seastrunk likely will get to 1,000 yards and he already has 11 touchdowns and after playing against Texas Christian, Baylor will have another in-state matchup with a home game against the Texas Longhorns and that game could be the de facto Big 12 conference championship game if the Bears move on with a win.

Baylor comes into the game averaging well over 600 yards per game this season and that makes the game almost impossible for TCU, but after the way the Cowboys took down the Bears offense, the Horned Frogs need to be tough up front. Oklahoma State held Baylor to their lowest total in points all season and it was the first time the team scored less than 35 points all year and other than those two games, the team has been over 40 points and that is why they are ranked first in the nation in scoring on offense with 56 points per game.

The team is playing the second of two straight road game and Baylor was pushed around by Oklahoma State and was totally dominated and while Petty is very good, he couldn't get anything going and now that loss opens up the Big 12 for Texas and Oklahoma State and Baylor still has a chance to stay in things if they win out. The team opened the season on amazing offensive run, scoring over 60 and 70 points multiple times and going over 600 yards many times and now they are coming into the game 9-1 on the season and 6-1 within the Big 12 conference.

Petty has been on fire all season and the team comes in behind Oklahoma State and Texas at 7-1 in the conference standings and a win on Saturday would set up Baylor and Texas for a showdown and on top of that, next week Oklahoma State and Oklahoma play as well, making that game a big factor with the Sooners 6-2 in the conference. The Baylor defense did not come through last week, but the team is ranked 22nd in the nation in scoring with 20 points allowed per game and they should get back on track against TCU to set up the "big" Big 12 weekend next Saturday. The game on Saturday for Baylor and TCU starts at 3:30 pm on ESPN2.
