Duke wide receiver Jamison Crowder makes a catch against Wake Forest last week in a win for the Blue Devils and now the team plays North Carolina on November 30, 2013."

The Duke Blue Devils are in historic position for the school in the ACC conference and David Cutcliffe has his team in position to make it into the title game against Florida State with a win against North Carolina on Saturday and while the rivalry is usually bigger in college basketball, this football game is the biggest for Duke in years as the team travels to play in Chapel Hill at Kenan Stadium starting at 12 pm noon.

Anthony Boone leads the Blue Devils in passing and B. Connette has done a good job as well and the two have combined for 21 touchdowns, while Bryn Renner has been solid for the Tar Heels and this game could end up being a shootout for both sides. Duke comes into the matchup coming off of a win against Wake Forest on the road and the team is 5-2 this season in the ACC Coastal division and the team has a lead over Georgia Tech and Miami and a win on Saturday would put the team in amazing position to try and knock off the Florida State Seminoles in the championship matchup and this is a new height for the football program and could get Cutcliffe some coach of the year love. The team hasn't had a winning record in nearly two decades and now they are in a great position and it really started after the team knocked off Miami a few weeks ago and Duke comes in with an undefeated record against top 25 teams this season and it would be the first time the school made it to the ACC title game.

Jamison Crowder has been having a very good season with 83 catches for over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns and he will be a main focal point for the offense on Saturday. The Tar Heels come into the game 6-5 on the season and 4-3 in the conference and if all holds, Duke will get into the championship game and they are currently looking to extend their winning streak to eight games and this finish would be the best in school history and the team is averaging well over 400 total yards per game this season. The Blue Devils have a solid defense and the team has held opponents to less than 30 points in the majority of their games this season, including last week against Wake and the team also had an impressive win against Virginia Tech in a defensive game back in October and now the team will try and finish things off against North Carolina.

The team has its final two games on the road after beating NC State and Miami at home and now they have the chance to put the icing on the cake in their first ever conference title game and just playing Florida State is significant, even though the team will likely lose. The Seminoles are ranked in the top two in offensive and defensive scoring, but to get there Duke needs to beat the Tar Heels. North Carolina comes into the game allowing nearly 25 points per game while the offense is scoring just over 30 and the team comes in playing very well just like Duke, as they have won five straight games leading into the finale, which came after a rough four game losing streak. The team dropped 80 on Old Dominion last week and that came after nice wins over Pitt as well as Virginia, NC State and Boston College and before that the team lost the opener to South Carolina and that opened the whole college football season.

The game on Saturday is a big rivalry game and is very significant for Duke and the two teams will match up starting at 12 pm noon in North Carolina and a win puts the Blue Devils in the ACC title game against Florida State.
