The Chicago Bulls are going to have to deal with derrick Rose missing another season and while this time it isn't a full year, it might as well be, as the star point guard underwent surgery on Monday for his right knee and now will be done for the year.

Rose injured his knee against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night and in the 98-95 he left in the third quarter after dealing with a non-contact injury. According to ESPN.com, Rose will be out for the season after getting surgery to repair a medial meniscus tear in his right knee and now the future of the team and the makeup of the team this season could change dramatically.

Rose came back after missing all of last season and now he will be out again at the age of 25 and while he is young, many wonder if he will be able to return to full strength. Tom Thibodeau spoke about Rose over the weekend and said that he would get surgery and then evaluate things and now ESPN.com is reporting that he will be out for the season.

"There's disappointment for Derrick because of the type of person he is," Thibodeau said. "And he's such a great teammate along with being a great player. But I think we have an understanding of what we need to do. We know we can't feel sorry for ourselves. So we have to circle the wagons and then go out there and get the job done."
