The Chicago Bulls are one of many teams that entered the season with championship expectations and after getting off to a slow start, the club has been playing much more consistently and Derrick Rose has been getting back to full speed and now the team heads out for a road trip as they take on the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center in a game that will be on TNT starting up at 10:30 pm and streaming online from the league pass.

The Bulls are now 6-3 on the season after starting 1-2 and while they are behind the Pacers in the division, Chicago is closing the gap on Indiana and a nice performance against Denver will help the team get closer in the standings. The Bulls have been playing stellar defense and have struggled on offense, while the Nuggets are playing the exact opposite type of game to start the season, as they are ranked in the top 10 in scoring on offense and are struggling at the bottom of the rankings on defense. The Bulls come in with their core intact from last season, while the Nuggets are basically a brand new team with a new general manager, coach and star player after Andre Iguodala left to sign with the Golden State Warriors and they come in with a 4-6 record on the season.

Derrick Rose has been solid in his return from knee surgery and he should only get better as the season goes on and he builds back his strength. The team comes into the matchup ranking 24th in the league in scoring on offense with under 95 points per game, but they are playing some amazing defense right now and have leveled back from the start of the year and now they are ranked second in the NBA in defense with 89 points allowed per game through nine contests. The team comes in after a close win over the Charlotte Bobcats at home on Monday and now they will play back to back games on the road against the Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Portland has been off to a great start this season and the team has 10 wins already and will host the Bulls on Friday at the Moda Center in what could be a great matchup. The Bulls are ranked fourth in the league in rebounds per game and 14th in assists per game and they will have a tough offense to try and corral on Thursday against the Nuggets. Luol Deng is leading the team in scoring with 16.9 points per game, while Carlos Boozer has been the top rebounder. The Bulls started off the season with a loss to the Miami Heat and then rebounded with a win over the Knicks and after losing two straight to the Sixers and Pacers they turned it around with a five game winning streak and that is where the team sits now.
