New York Knicks: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire Fight in Loss, Mike Woodson Blames Composure as Kenyon Martin Likely Starter Against Indiana Pacers

Carmelo Anthony has no clue what is going on. The New York Knicks are 3-7 on the season after falling to the Detroit Pistons and the star cannot figure out what is causing the team's struggles. While noting the effort was certainly there in the loss, the forward is clueless as to why the team cannot win. After losing his cool against the referees, Anthony is panicked on the season.

"I think right now it's just a matter of wanting it more," Anthony said, via Newsday. "We've got to want it more [Wednesday night], especially on our home court. There's some bitter feelings, knowing that they knocked us out of the playoffs last year, so hopefully that gives us some momentum, some energy, some confidence and some anger to go out there and play with."

The Knicks have lost three games in a row and right now Anthony cannot find anything positive to say about the year so far.

"I mean, it's hard to take anything positive out of the way we've been playing these games," Anthony said. "You know, it's kind of - it's not really making sense to me right now as far as what's really going on, why we're not in sync with one another, why we're just losing basketball games."

As of now, the free-agent-to-be is shooting just 42.4 percent, a career-low for him at this point. Tuesday night, he shot just 8-of-20, finishing with a team-high 25 points. After getting flagged with a technical foul and then immediately followed that up with another offensive foul, Anthony believe this loss can be chalked up to officiating more than team effort. Amar'e Stoudemire was also fouled with a technical for arguing with the refs. Head coach Mike Woodson was disappointed with the lack of composure displayed.

"I think we kind of lost our composure a little bit," Woodson said. "Stat ended up getting a technical and Melo got one, too. But with all that said, we're in the game, and coming down the stretch we just couldn't get rebounds."

The Knicks will now face the Pacers at home as they sit with just one win at Madison Square Garden this season. Indiana is putting together a top-notch season. Their size should make the Knicks' night very long, much like the Pistons did. Kenyon Martin will likely get more playing time on Wednesday after he put up a season-high 28 minutes on Tuesday. The Knicks could easily change up their starting lineup once again Wednesday night, making the fifth different lineup the team has had through 10 games.
