Portugal and Sweden played the second leg in their World Cup 2014 playoff matchup and Cristiano Ronaldo led the way with three goals to get his home nation into the tournament, while France made a dramatic comeback against Ukraine to advance.

Ronaldo was the best player on the pitch on Tuesday while scoring three goals and that was enough to win, as they held on for a 3-2 victory after coming in up and now they will be assured of a spot in Brazil. The team came in leading 1-0 already after the performance in the first leg at home and Ronaldo took charge in Stockholm, scoring the first goal of the game and he later put the team ahead for good and now Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sweden will be home next summer.

France had a fantastic performance and the team came back from a 2-0 deficit in the first leg and won an improbable matchup 3-0 at home in Paris. The team now has some momentum heading into the next stage after some recent disappointments.
