NBA on TNT will be a bit exclusive Thursday night. There will only be two games on the NBA schedule and TNT will air both. They are great matchups of teams that should be in the playoffs and there will be drama as a former Knick takes the floor in his old stomping grounds. Up first at 8 p.m. ET, watch Jeremy Lin return to Madison Square Garden, again. He might be getting back the game that sent him into superstardom as Lin has torn up the stat sheet in his last two games. After averaging a mere 14 points per game, Lin has blown up, averaging 32.5 points per game in back-to-back outings. Granted, the Rockets have played consecutive overtime games, it is still impressive to see the former Knick and global star show some shadows of his old self.
All in all, the Rockets are 5-4 after starting the season 3-0. They have top scorers and plenty of stars on their team, but they cannot put it together consistently. Look for Lin to carry the ball more often as James Harden has not been 100 percent as of late.
Next up, it is a Western Conference battle between the Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors. Tipoff is a little bit after 10:30 p.m. ET.
For some reason, the Nuggets are struggling in 2013. Could it be that they miss Andre Iguodola that much? The Nuggets are 3-4 in 2013 and struggling to play good ball consistently. They face the powerful young team in Golden State that is off to a 5-3 start and have plenty of high hopes heading into the 2013 season and beyond.
