The Oregon Ducks (18) will seek their second victory of the season as they get ready to face the unranked Western Carolina Catamounts at 11 p.m. ET. Check out the live stream available online as Oregon looks to only improve on last season's efforts.

Already wihth a victory in their pockets, the Ducks face a relatively weak schedule to open up the season. Furthermore, they will play five of their next six games at home. They should take advantage of this opportunity as the second half of their schedule, not only toughens up, but will be mainly on the road.

They face a WCU team that is in first place with a 2-0 record in the Southern Conference. Their main scorers are James Sinclair, who is averaging 15 points and Tom Tankeliwicz, who is averaging 14.5 points per game. They should be no match for the Ducks' Joseph Young, the junior guard from Houston, Texas. In his first season in Oregon, Young impressed. He scored 24 points in his first game, going 12-12 from the line, grabbing five rebounds and dishing an assist.

Another newcomer, Jason Calliste, senior, who played three season in Detroit, dropped 16 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal in his first game with the Ducks.

The mission in Oregon, of course is a NCAA National Championship, however, they might want to settle for simply advancing further into the tournament. In 2013, the met a Louisville Cardinals team in the Sweet 16 that was simply destined to win the championship. The rest of the nation also got stronger, so it will be interesting to see where Oregon winds up in the rankings as the season continues.
