Kansas City Chiefs Rumors: Dwayne Bowe Will Start On Sunday vs. Denver Broncos As WR Arrest Complicates Undefeated Season

Nov 13, 2013 04:26 PM EST

The Kansas City Chiefs have been on a dream ride since finishing last year 2-14, as the team has not lost yet this season and with the Denver Broncos on the schedule for Sunday night, everything has been perfect in 2013, but the arrest of wide receiver Dwayne Bowe complicates things and now his start status on Sunday will be in question.

According to ESPN.com, Bowe will start the game on Sunday night despite being arrested during the bye week for speeding and possession of a controlled substance with marijuana. The move could complicate things for the Chiefs as they continue at 9-0 on their undefeated season, but with him starting, clearly that makes things a bit easier. The report says that police arrested Bowe after pulling him over for speeding and the police found 10 grams of marijuana as well as joints and they also found weed in a backpack.

Bowe previously was suspended for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs and he also just signed a five year deal worth over $50 million with the Chiefs last season. Bowe has had a solid year with 33 catches for 369 yards and now the Chiefs will have him on the field on Sunday night despite the arrest.

The Chiefs have a tough schedule coming up with the Denver Broncos on the road on Sunday before playing the Chargers within the division and then the team hosts the Broncos again. The back stretch sees three road games in four weeks, with the team traveling to play the Washington Redskins before the Oakland Raiders and they will have the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16 before finishing against the San Diego Chargers on the road.
