The Green Bay Packers went into their game with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday without quarterback Aaron Rodgers and after losing backup Seneca Wallace early in the game, reports have come out on Monday night that the Packers will be signing Matt Flynn as a backup for Scott Tolzien.

The Green Bay Packers went into their game with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday without quarterback Aaron Rodgers and after losing backup Seneca Wallace early in the game, the team now is turning to third string starter Scott Tolzien, making names like Tim Tebow, Vince Young and Matt Flynn options as free agents for the team in the coming weeks.

Young and Flynn both spent time in Green Bay and could be options, but according to ESN.com, head coach Mike McCarthy said that the team is comfortable with Tolzien as the starter and he will get the nod against the New York Giants next weekend. Tolzien went 24 of 38 for 280 yards in the game with two picks and a TD and with the Packers coming into a tough stretch of the schedule, they could change things up in the coming weeks.

From last week, the team also had to deal with rumors. The Green Bay Packers lost on Monday night and Aaron Rodgers was injured in the game, making the team possibly have to scramble for another quarterback after using Seneca Wallace and two names that surely will come up includes Vince Young and Tim Tebow.

Young was previously with the team and he was released in September and now he could get a chance to come back. Mike McCarthy was happy with the way Young handled himself in the preseason and now he could come back and play for the Packers if the injury to Rodgers is serious, which is might be.

The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers suffered a tough loss on Monday night football to the division rival Chicago Bears and now the team has to wait and see how severe the injury to their quarterback is and funny enough, a local columnist from the Journal-Sentinel predicted the injury in column before the game.

The headline, according to Deadspin.com, was about the Packers winning without Aaron Rodgers and while they didn't do that on Monday, the columnist writes that the team should get by with backup Seneca Wallace, who looked solid while playing for Rodgers against the Bears. The columnist wrote about hoping not to jinx Rodgers, but that the injury would be a "nightmare" and that the Packers are a team and an organization that could hand le it.

He writes about Seneca Wallace and how the team still could finish 11-5 on the season even with him at quarterback and clearly that came true, although it remains to be seen how long he will be out and now Wallace may have to take over. The Packers are now 5-3 on the season and tied with the Bears and the Lions atop the division and while the team has a tough upcoming schedule, they have been playing very well on offense and now Wallace could be at the helm of that unless they sign someone like Tim Tebow aka not. The Bills cut Matt Flynn and that is perfect timing, while Vince Young also could be an option for the team if they do not sign Flynn.
