The Oregon Ducks thought they would put up 40 on the Stanford Cardinal on Thursday night, at least DeAnthony Thomas did, but the Cardinal stopped the Ducks cold, winning an upset game 26-20 and now they have the advantage in the Pac-12.

Stanford can win out and win the division after holding back Marcus Mariota and the tough Ducks offense and the team held Oregon scoreless until the fourth quarter, when they dropped 20 points to make it interesting, but it was too late. Tyler Gafney had 45 carries in the game for 157 yards and a touchdown and that was enough to take down the Ducks at home. The defense had played better than in past years, but it wasn't enough on Thursday and now Florida State has the clear shot to the national championship.

Baylor also won over Oklahoma by scoring over 40 points and holding the Sooners to 12 and now they should rise in the rankings for the BCS as well.

Likely national championship: Alabama vs. Florida State. Whoa should be good if they can win out.

From before the game, clearly shows how Oregon underestimated the Cardinal: The Oregon Ducks and the Stanford Cardinal are playing one of the biggest games of the college football season on Thursday night as the Ducks visit Stanford Stadium for a Pac-12 matchup that will be on ESPN and steaming on Watch ESPN starting up at 9:00 pm.

The game is huge for both teams and has national and conference implications, as Stanford is just one game behind Oregon in the Pac-12 north division and that could help put the team in the conference championship game if they can pull off the upset. Both teams came into the season with high expectations and were looked at as national title contenders and after losing in an upset to Utah, the Cardinal can make up for it on Thursday with a win at home down the stretch against a huge rival in Oregon at Stanford Stadium.
