The 2013 champion, Miami Heat, take the court at home Thursday evening. Check out their TV schedule as they face a foe that many picture playin in June, challenging Miami and getting in the way of the Heat's three-peat.

The Heat are struggling in 2013. Is it age? Lack of motivation? Maybe it is because Dwyane Wade barely played during the NBA preseason, which has led to talks of the two not communicating on the court. The Heat are off to a 3-2 start, losing games to teams like the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets. Both teams are not as good as the Heat, but yet, Miami folded and are now looking at a blemished record.

They will face a Clippers team that has caught fire after dropping their season opener to the Los Angeles Lakers. Since losing their first game, the Clippers are 3-1 and not only beating their opponents, they are crushing them. They are averaging 113 points per game with Chris Paul leading the way in scoring.

The Heat will face a team that can put points by the stacks. In their first victory of the season, the Clippers scored 126 points. In their last win against the Houston Rockets, the Clippers dropped 137 points on a team that is considered to be the favorite to get out of the Western Conference.

Of course, Miami and the NBA world will keep their eyes on this matchup as some believe that the Clippers will be in the 2014 NBA Finals. They are sort of a carbon copy of the Heat as they have players who possess the ability to get and score from the paint, while simultaneously having the ability to spread the floor and hit the three-point shot.

Can Miami get on the win column more consistently? The Clippers would be a great team to beat since it will prove that they are ready for a three-peat.
