The Champions League picks up again on Wednesday with a number of exciting matches, including Chelsea taking on Schalke and that match will start up at 2:45 pm ET and 7:45 p.m. local time and the match will be streaming online from the Fox Soccer 2 Go application and should be a very exciting matchup.

Chelsea has Fernando Torres and Ryan Bertrand banged up and the match has Chelsea coming in with a nice lead in the group stages and the match gives them a chance to host the team after having a 3-0 win in the first matchup and that puts all the pressure on the opponents for the Blues. The match will be at Stamford Bridge and some of the other teams in play on Wednesday includes Arsenal as well as Barcelona and there will be some tough matches with AC Milan, Napoli as well as Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid. Chelsea comes into the match after a shutout loss against Newcastle United and before that the team played 2-0 against Arsenal after a win over Manchester City and now they will play their first of two straight home matchups with the Champions League on Wednesday.

Chelsea will later play FC Basel in the first phase and they have some tough games coming up in both the Premier League and Champions League and they look like a team that will advance with no problems. In other Champions League play yesterday, Bayern Munich was able to get to the knockout round with their win and now they have a comfortable time with two more games to go and they ended up with a 1-0 win to move on.

Bayern Munich reached the Champions League knockout stage with two games to spare and a record-equaling win but last season's treble winners know they will need to shake off their recent sleepy starts to repeat the success.

The Bavarians took a long time to get going against Viktoria Plzen in their 1-0 win on Tuesday and had to wait for more than an hour for Mario Mandzukic's winner against a team they had crushed 5-0 in Munich last month.

Bayern, who became the first German team to win the treble last season, are top of their Champions League Group D with four wins from four games. Manchester City are second on nine with CSKA Moscow in third place on three points.

Their win in Plzen meant Bayern posted their best group result after four matches with 12 points and 12 goals scored and just one conceded.

Bayern also equaled Barcelona's record of nine straight wins in the competition but narrow victories in the Bundesliga in the past few weeks and Tuesday's performance have rung alarm bells.
