Sunday Night Football TV Schedule: Channel, Time and Matchup for Week 9 Meeting

Nov 03, 2013 06:48 PM EST

Sunday Night Football is here and two AFC South teams meet to slug it out. It's Week 9 as the season is beyond it's halfway point. Check out game time and channel info as kickoff nears.

Time: 8:20 p.m. ET

Channel: NBC

Matchup: Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

The Colts visit Houston as they face the Texans. The Colts lead the pack in the AFC South after going 5-2 through their first seven weeks of games played. They ad coming off a victory against the Denver Broncos, while also collecting victories against the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers, three of the games best teams and all Super Bowl favorites.

Andrew Luck might not be the league's MVP as his numbers are nothing supernatural (10 touchdown, 3 interceptions), but the kid is coming of age sooner than expected. Everybody figured he was going to be nice and worth the No. 1 overall pick, however, nobody knew that in just his second season in the league, Luck was going to have the Colts in first place.

The Texans were supposed to be that team. They were supposed to dominate the division, but they have digressed to the team that struggled early on in the franchise's history. They might have J.J. Watt and Adrian Foster, but with quarterback Matt Schuab struggling this season, the Texans are off to a 2-5 start. They are considered a playoff guarantee, but they have not lived up to the hype.

If Schuab does not get off to a hot start, the hometown crowd will not hesitate to boo their own quarterback. A lot of Texans fans saw heaven when he went down with an injury last week, but T.J. Yates did not do much to reinfornce their faith in the franchise.

Tune into NBC after 8:20 p.m. ET to watch this AFC South battle as the Texans will either get closer to the Colts or Indianapolis will have a chance to increase their divisional lead.
