The Dallas Cowboys probably can still see Matthew Stafford reaching over for the winning touchdown last week and now the team will try and bounce back at home at AT&T Stadium for Week 9 against Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings in a game that will be live on FOX at 1:00 PM and streaming online on the NFL.com main website.
The Cowboys found a new way to lose last week and now they are 4-4 heading into the back stretch of the season and the first matchup will be against the Minnesota Vikings, who have been terrible and inconsistent this season and have only one win. The team has been in a tailspin and has not won a game on North American soil, with their only victory coming against the Pittsburgh Steelers in London and while Adrian Peterson is having a solid season, things have been so bad that the running back was even mentioned in trade rumors at the deadline, including some to Dallas even though they never progressed to more than that. The team should be better with DeMarco Murray back in the lineup and they now have the chance to get back on the right track before one of the biggest game of the season against the New Orleans Saints.

The Cowboys have won two of their last three games but after last week's crazy defeat against the Detroit Lions, the team is working to do their best to avoid another two game losing streak, as they has two losses in a row against the Denver Broncos and the San Diego Chargers. The Cowboys have won games against St. Louis and the rest of the NFC East and that means there are still three division games ahead and that means things will not be settled likely until the end. The NFC West was once considered the worst division in the league after sending the Seahawks to the playoffs after a 7-9 season and now that division looks like one of the best in the NFL with the Niners and Seattle, while the so called "NFC Beast" is now looking more like the NFC Least. The Giants are still alive after winning their last two games before a bye week and now the New Orleans Saints are waiting on the schedule before their week off.
The Cowboys are one of the best passing teams in the NFL and are ranked in the top 10 and they are facing a great matchup on Sunday for Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, as the Vikings are ranked 29th in the league in passing yards allowed per game with nearly 290 and their offense has been wildly inconsistent this season and Dallas would be an upset victory for the team. The Vikings opened up the year 1-3 before their bye week and they have not a won a game since September and their schedule doesn't get any easier after Dallas. The team is coming off of a bad loss to the Green Bay Packers and then they will play against the Washington Redskins.
Dallas is playing three of the next four on the road with the Cowboys before coming home against the Redskins and then the team plays at Seattle against the Seahawks and then against the Green Bay Packers on the road. Things don't get any easier down the stretch, including against the Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and then the Bengals and the Lions. The Vikings are ranked 27th in the league in passing and Christian Ponder will start the game and the Cowboys schedule is tough at the end as well, playing the Giants out of their bye after the Saints. The team then plays at Chicago for Monday night football against the Bears and then they have two division games against the Wahsington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles to finish the year.
