The Saints are 6-1 in 2013, while the hometown Jets are 4-4. Drew Brees is an experienced veteran, while the Jets' quarterback, Geno Smith, is still finding his way around football in his rookie year. Both quarterbacks are the backbone of the team's offense, but this matchup appears lopsided as the Saints are the more dynamic team in this meeting.

The Saints have defeated everybody this season, suffering a tough loss only to the New England Patriots. With that being said, the Jets truly have a chance to win this matchup, though they are not the favorite. What will Smith have to do to accomplish this almost impossible and unsurmountable task? Smith cannot turn the ball over. The Saints defense is average, though they know how to apply the pressure when it matters most, allowing only 17.1 points per game, the fourth lowest total in the NFL this season.

Smith has thrown eight touchdowns, but he has also thrown for 13 interceptions. When Smith has terrible games, the Jets simply do not win. The bad news for the Saints is that the Jets are coming off a Week 8 loss. This is a problem because the 2013 Jets' season has been a pattern. Their schedule through the first half of the season looks as follows: Week 1 win, Week 2 loss, Week 3 win, Week 4 loss... See where this is going? The Jets lost badly to the Cincinnati Bengals, 49-9, in Week 8 and if the pattern remains true, that means they will defeat the Saints today at home.

However, the Jets defense will have to defeat one of the league's most elite quarterbacks of his generation in Brees. Smith can learn something from the man. Brees has thrown for almost 2,300 yards with 19 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Brees is extremely accurate and that translates into success in the NFL.

The Jets are looking to keep pace with the Patriots in the AFC East, while the Saints are trying to keep a firm grip on the NFC South. Will this be one of the year's biggest upsets?

Hope you enjoy the live, free radio stream.
