Brooklyn Nets TV Schedule: Channel and TIme of Friday's Home Opener

Nov 01, 2013 02:50 PM EDT

The Brooklyn Nets play their home opener against the Miami Heat. Here's the TV schedule with game time and channel info allowing you to watch all the action live from your homes. The Nets will try to win their first game of the season as they play in front of their home crowd for the first time in 2013-2014.

The Nets and Heat are both coming off of loses. Both teams were surprised by tough opponents.

TV Channel- Where to Watch?: YES, ESPN

Time: 8 p.m. ET

With that start time, fans will have time to get stuck in traffic, eat and shower right before the game starts. Heck, forget the eating, you can eat as you watch the game.

Though the Heat are playing the Nets, it will almost be similar to playing the Boston Celtics in years prior. With Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce now with the Nets, the Heat will not have to worry about Boston, but about the powered up Nets. However, if Brooklyn plays the way they did in Game 1 of their season, then LeBron James and Co. will simply walk over them and send about 19,000 Nets fans home very upset.

In the season opener, the Nets played the Cleveland Cavaliers. They shot 40 percent from the floor and were outrebounded. Garnett only added eight points, though he grabbed 10 rebounds while seeing Pierce make a solid contribution, going 5-8 from the floor, scoring 17 points.

Heat fans should not be nervous because the Heat were also surprised. They are 1-1 this season after winning their season opener, but then dropping their second game of the season to the Philadelphia 76ers. That is correct! The lowly 76ers who seem to have nobody capable of beating the Heat, received a great performance from their young starts, Thaddeus Yougn and Michael Carter-Williams. They scored 48 of the Sixers 114 points as the final score read 114-110 in favor of the Sixers.

Who will win this game? Will LeBron James put on a show in front of the Brooklyn crowd? Will he be auditioning for a position? We know the Nets' owner is crazy. Will the Nets prove capable of hanging with the champions? The only reason why they are together is so they can win a championship.

Tune into your televisions. Do not miss the live streaming action as the Nets and Heat meet at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
