Tom Brady’s NFL Future Altered By Jets Mo Lewis Hit On Drew Bledsoe, What Would Have Happened If Linebacker Did Not Injure New England Patriots QB In 2001? (SWR What If)

The history of the NFL has had many moments that if they turned out differently, the future of the game would be drastically changed and one of those moments came in 2001 on a seemingly harmless rollout by New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe in a game against the New York Jets and the decision by Mo Lewis to hit him altered the game forever.

Reports said that Bledsoe lost a pint of blood after getting hit on that play and one player described the sound from the hit as like getting hit by a "truck". Bledsoe spent the night in the hospital and had a concussion and internal injuries and the move changed history because of what happened next: Tom Brady came into the game.

Bill Belichick was on shaky ground for the Patriots and it was looking like he may not last the season and after a bad stint with the Browns, this could be his last coaching job. Brady came into the game after being a sixth round pick the season before and after the team lost they fell to 0-2. But after Brady took over, the team went 11-3 and Belichick stuck with his man as the team went on to win the Super Bowl after starting of 2-3 on the season and it changed the history of the game and the future for Belichick, Brady and Bledsoe.

Bledsoe had some solid years in Buffalo, but he never matched the success of Brady, who is now considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and Belichick is considered one of the best coaches, but all of it may not have happened if Mo Lewis didn't truck Bledsoe.

Let's see, IF MO LEWIS Doesn't Hit Drew Bledsoe.....

If Mo Lewis Doesn't Hit Drew Bledsoe:

Does Bill Belichick last the season for the Patriots?

Does he win multiple Super Bowls?

Does Tom Brady become anything?

Do the Giants and Eli Manning win the Super Bowl over the 18-0 Patriots?

Does Peyton Manning and Brady have one of the best rivalries ever?

Are the Patriots the class of the AFC for a decade?

That hit changed NFL history.
