Legends In 2013 LCS Playoffs: Miguel Cabrera, Clayton Kershaw, Justin Verlander and Carlos Beltran Possible Hall of Fame Players Active In Postseason (SWR Commentary)

The Major League Baseball playoffs has already been an exciting event in both leagues and with the National League and the American League Championship Series putting together four of the top teams in baseball, some players stand out above others, and those players include Miguel Cabrera, Clayton Kershaw, Justin Verlander and Carlos Beltran, four names that could very well end up being Hall of Fame players.

Cabrera has already put up numbers that rival players already in the Hall of Fame, while Beltran has had enough success in the postseason for that to possibly push him into Cooperstown. Verlander and Kershaw have put together resumes in the regular season that would rival some HOF players and with Verlander also winning an MVP award already, he has some awards that even players in the shrine never got.

These players are all playing live in front of our eyes for the 2013 postseason and the results have been pretty good so far. Cabrera isn't mashing the ball, but Kershaw and Verlander have pitched some epic games already, while Beltran has come through multiple times with his bat and his glove. Kershaw is putting together an amazing career as well, as this season he was ranked third in wins, first in ERA and first in strikeouts again and he could end up with his second Cy Young Award after winning in 2011.

Last time around Kershaw went 21-5 while winning the award and this season he went 16-9 with a 1.83 ERA and over 230 strikeouts and those numbers were not matched by anyone else in the NL. Kershaw has already been fantastic in his short career, making three All-Star teams winning a triple crown in 2011, one Cy Young award as well as being the ERA champ three years in a row, putting him in some fine company. He also has won a Gold Glove and now he looks like he is on track to be a Hall of Fame pitcher. His career stats are on the way to greatness as well, as he has a career record of 77-46 with a 2.60 ERA along with over 1,200 strikeouts.
