Boston Red Sox vs. Detroit Tigers Radio Stream: Listen Free Online at 4 p.m. ET to Game 3 of ALCS

The Boston Red Sox will be hosted by the Detroit Tigers in Game 3 of the ALCS. Listen to the live stream online as the Red Sox and Tigers hook up for what should be another pitchers' duel. Both teams head into the game with a win a piece. The first to four wins and after today's game concludes, one team will be two victories away from a trip to the 2013 World Series.

The Tigers should be mad at themselves. They should be moping around after losing a chance to go up 2-0 in the series, with a definite chance of putting the series away Tuesday afternoon. However, with the talent in that ball club, mixed with some of the better pitchers and hitters in the game, do not expect the Tigers to suddenly slump. Jhonny Peralta is on fire, Miguel Cabrera is getting his swing back and they have Justin Verlander in the mound.

Verlander did not pitch great in his only start against the Red Sox this year. Back in June, the Red Sox and Tigers met in Comerica park and the Red Sox hit Verlander soundly. They knocked in four earned runs, having the former Cy Young Award winner gone from the game by the fifth inning. The Tigers cannot afford that today as their bullpen could be a little banged up, still recovering from David Ortiz's grand slam from Game 2.

Lackey has handled the Tigers well in his two starts, going at least seven innings both outings, though losing both games. He allowed a total of five earned runs in 14.1 innings pitched. He kept his walks down, totaling two in both games and striking out 10 Tigers. Lackey may not be an impressive starter anymore as the 34-year-old is long removed from his first starts where he led the Los Angeles Angels to a championship. However, when Lackey is on, he can dominate a game.

Verlander has completely shut the door on batters in the 2013 postseason. Meanwhile, Lackey needs heavy run support to win games. In his only start in the 2013 postseason, he gave up four earned runs on seven hits, while walking three and striking out six. That day, the Red Sox scored seven runs, but it's not every day teams get seven runs off of Verlander. Lackey will have to hold his own and limit the amount of base runners or else the Tigers will cruise to an easy victory.
