Percy Harvin may be off the physically unable to perform list, but that does not mean the wide receiver is expected to see the field any time soon. The Seattle Seahawks are certainly encouraged by the way Harvin is progressing after undergoing hip surgery during training camp. While some are hopeful he returns in time for the Seahawks to face Arizona, head coach Pete Carroll says that prediction is unrealistic at this point.
Harvin's recovery is ahead of schedule. The wider receiver has been running and has returned to Seattle in order to finish his rehab with the team. Carroll is working to downplay any idea that Harvin will return to playing time any sooner than November.
"I don't think that is realistic. I think that is too soon to expect that to happen," Carroll said, via PFT "We want him to be able to endure the rigors of the end of the season," Carroll said. "It's not important to rush him back, it's important to wait it out and be patient and get him out there when he's ready to go and withstand the load of the game."
Harvin was one of Seattle's big offseason acquisitions. He was the final piece to what would likely be one of the best receiving corps in the NFL. While Seattle is certainly looking strong without Harvin, the wide receiver will be crucial down the stretch of the season. Carroll stresses the team is really taking their time with Harvin. They do not want any setbacks to hurt his chances of being back on the field on schedule.

As of now, Doug Baldwin is the leading receiver for the team, putting up a total of 296 yards and one touchdown. Golden Tate is in second with 236 yards and a score. Harvin will be a great addition to the already dangerous offense.
Harvin can return to the field any time in the next five weeks. The team faces the Tennessee Titans on Sunday and then Arizona the following week. Once he begins practicing, the Seahawks will have a 21-day time frame to make him active on the roster.
