The Oakland A's and the Detroit Tigers hook up in Game 3 of the ALDS. If you can't watch or listen to Game 3, check out the link that will provide live scoring updates, play-by-play and stats as the winner of this one takes a 2-1 series lead.

Let's fill you in on what's happened in the first two games of this series. Both teams have played great baseball and this is easily the best series with the most dramatic results in the 2013 postseason.

Game 1- Tigers Defend Against Rally
The A's were down 0-3 early. Detroit did not hesitate to get the scoring started early in Game 1, taking a quick lead. They put the ball in play and took advantage of the Athletics' miscues. Bartolo Colon then settled down, pitching great baseball the rest of the way, not allowing the Tigers to score and keeping his team close.

This game was Max Scherzer's to lose. He went seven innings, striking out 11 A's, surrendering only three hits in this marvelous outing. However, Yoenis Cespedes made sure to make things interesting, smacking a two-run bomb that made it a one-run ball game.

The Tigers pen took over and only one Oakland player made it on base while five of six wound up striking out.

Game 2- A's Ace Tigers
In a pitchers duel to remember, Justin Verlander and Sonny Gray locked up for a great matchup. They combined for 15 innings of shutout baseball, allowing four hits each. Verlander won the strikeout battle, setting down 11 A's via the punch out, Gray struck out nine Tigers.

The A's got the last laugh as Stephen Vogt drove in Cespedes to win the game after Oakland loaded up the bases in the bottom of the ninth.
