Houston Texans TV Schedule: San Francisco 49ers Week 5 Start Time For Sunday Night Football Game On NBC

Oct 06, 2013 04:42 PM EDT

The Houston Texans have been under fire for the past week after quarterback Matt Schaub made a key mistake against the Seattle Seahawks that cost the team the game and after losing in overtime they will try to rebound with a game against the San Francisco 49ers in the Bay Area at Candlestick Park on Sunday night football on NBC at 8:30 pm.

Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will have the call for NBC on Sunday night football and the game will put two teams that need to win in the Texans and the 49ers and while Houston has played well through four games, they only have a 2-2 record to show for it, losing two straight games after starting the year 2-0 with close wins over the San Diego Chargers and the Tennessee Titans. The game against the Niners starts a solid stretch against the Rams at home then another road game against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and that will lead the team into their bye. Schaub has been under fire despite throwing for over 350 yards and now he will need to lead his team to a win over a tough defense in the 49ers.

After a bye week the Texans will play against the Indianapolis Colts and then the team will travel to play the Arizona Cardinals and then they will be able to rest home for three straight games. The team will play the Jacksonville Jaguars twice in three weeks with a rematch against the New England Patriots in the middle of it and then the team has another game against the Colts, but this time it will be on the road. The season finishes with a very tough game against the Denver Broncos at home before playing the Titans on the road and the team is hoping they can shape things up to catch up to the Colts in the division after they won again.

The 49ers have played well in their two wins this season, but in their two losses they have scored just 10 total points and now they will face off against a tough defensive unit in the Houston Texans. Colin Kaepernick looked much better last week in the Thursday matchup against the Rams and now the team will start a fairly easy stratech after the Texans game, as the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars are on the schedule next before a bye week. The 49ers are ranked third in passing yards allowed per game this season and they are rushing the ball well and now the Texans will have to find a way to get through the tough front and secondary.

The team has a tough second half with two Monday night football games, including ones against the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Falcons. The team opens after the bye with Carolina at home before making an appearance at the Superdome again after the Super Bowl, but this time they will be playing a very strong team in the New Orleans Saints rather than the Ravens. The team has a game against the Seahawks again at home after losing to them on the road and they will finish the season against Arizona on the road, which comes after the Atlanta Falcons game on ESPN on Monday night football.
