Ohio State is gearing up for one of its toughest games yet this season against Northwestern on Saturday night on ABC live from Ryan Field and the Wildcats are ready to try and beat the Buckeyes at home and the game will be started up at 8:00 PM as Urban Meyer and Pat Fitzgerald go head to head.
The Wildcats are 4-0 this season and the Buckeyes are 5-0 and while Ohio State has a Big Ten win already, Northwestern is playing its first conference game of the season. Ohio State has a winning streak dating back to last year under Meyer when they went undefeated and Braxton Miller will lead the way for the Buckeyes on Saturday night and they will look to continue their winning streak after defeating Wisconsin at home last week. The team is playing its first road game since heading out West to play Cal and the team has been high powered on offense, scoring over 70 points once and going over 30 points in every game this season.

The Buckeyes have been very good rushing the ball, averaging nearly 300 yards per game this year and they are averaging over 500 yards of total offense this season, including over 200 through the air. The team is averaging over 48 points per game this season and are allowing just 17 per game and the defense will look to slow down the Wildcats on Saturday night. The team will play two games at home next against Iowa and then against Penn State in a night matchup and that will be a tough test before two straight road games against Purdue and Illinois.
Indiana and Michigan will be the final two games of the season and that road game at the Big House against the Wolverines likely will decide the conference division. Depending on how Ohio State plays the rest of the season, this matchup could have an affect on BCS and national title position and it should be one of the best in the Big Ten this season. The Buckeyes went 12-0 last season and now the two teams will play after the Buckeyes beat Northwestern the past two times they have played.
Northwestern has been trending upwards for years since Fitzgerald arrived and now the team is getting national recognition as one of the best offenses in the country. The team opened the year with a road game against Cal and defeated Syracuse next and now the Ohio State game will mark its first game against a ranked opponent. The team has some tough games ahead with Wisconsin, Nebraska and Michigan as well as Michigan State and the Wildcats will finish the season on the road against Illinois.
