New reports have come out in the case of a double murder that possibly involves Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, as a man says that he recognizes the star from a double murder in Boston from July of 2012, saying he was the shooter who killed Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado.

According to My Fox Boston, a man, who wanted to remain unidentified for his safety, told reporters that he recognized Hernandez was the shooter in the July shooting in Boston that occurred after Hernandez and the two men were at a night club. The report says that the man survived the shooting and that it came out of nowhere, saying that there were no issues of fights or arguments that night leading up to the incident.

The Hernandez case has taken some interesting turns and twists since the former Patriots tight end was arrested on murder charges, as information has come out about the killing and now reports have surfaced from police and sources that say Odin Lloyd knew information on Hernandez about past crimes and that is why he was killed.

Over the past few months numerous reports have come out detailing the motives behind the shooting, with lawyers presenting in court details of evidence that says Hernandez killed Lloyd after disrespecting him at a nightclub the week before the crime occurred. Some media reports have said that something more serious was missing from the motive and now TMZ and ABC are reporting that there is a chance that Lloyd had knowledge of secrets involving Hernandez, possibly including drugs and other past crimes.

That past crime may be a double murder from July 2012 that Hernandez is now being investigated for by police, which was a drive by shooting that was unsolved and resulted in the deaths of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Some have come to the conclusion that those secrets included information about that double murder as well as other damaging information that could involve drugs and other crimes. There are numerous theories being kicked around by police, with sources saying that they feel something is missing from the case and that the motive of disrespecting Hernandez doesn't seem strong enough to kill for. The TMZ report says that Hernandez went "ballistic" after bring up some of the past damaging information, although authorities said that it does not appear her tried to extort the tight end with that information.
