Real Madrid is still recovering from their 1-0 defeat in Spanish La Liga play on Saturday against Primera Division rival Atletico Madrid and after the loss, former manager Fabio Capello said that the club needs time to get comfortable with each other after acquiring star Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid is now third in the division standings with 16 points over their first seven games, coming in under Madrid and Barcelona, who each are 7-0-0 this season while Real is 5-1-1 and during that same span. According to ESPNFC.com, Capello made some comments about the club and Bale and how the team is playing, saying that the club and Carlo Ancelotti "need time" to get to know each other on the pitch.

The troubling thing about the loss is that it came at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and with the team looking weary on Saturday, something needs to change up. Capello said that more time is needed for the team to play better together and that while they are a favorite for the Champions League, they still need to flow better with each other, including with Bale, who has on goal in two games with four shots this season in La Liga play.

Bale came over on a €100 million move and the pressure appears to be mounting on all sides after the loss, as the press was very hard on the club after the defeat. Capello mentioned that Bale is not quite 100 percent yet and that with time he should be better and he also commented on the tough choice at goal keeper that Ancelotti has to figure out for the Champions League and La Liga play.

The loss was the second one in half a year from Atletico Madrid and the game turned on a goal from Diego Costa, who was able to score early and that was all either team could muster up in the match. The win was the seventh in a row for the club and both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were on the pitch for the match and it was the first home game for Bale since coming over from Tottenham and now Real are the ones looking at Atletico after two straight wins. Previously the team had not won a match in 25 chances against the club.

Real outshot Atletico 20 to 13 total and five to four in shots on goal, but it was not matter, as they were able to pull out the victory on Saturday. Real Madrid next plays against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu and then the club will play against Levante before playing against Malaga in La Liga play.
