Kenny Britt Trade: Tennessee Titans Field Offers After Justin Hunter Emerges in Week 4, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots Options for Wide Receiver Deal

Kenny Britt sees the writing on the wall. The Tennessee Titans is slowly falling out of grace with his current team and he is well-aware they could be looking to get rid of him sooner rather than later. Through the team's first three games, he was pretty much non-existent. Then Britt was inactive on Sunday due to a rib injury. As others emerge as stars, the Titans have started fielding calls for the receiver.

So far, Britt has five catches for 43 yards. He is playing out the final year of his contract. He is in the midst of several legal issues. He was benched for sloppy play and poor route running in Week 2 of the season. Meanwhile, Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright have emerged as top talent for the team. Hunter has two touchdowns on the year in clutch situations. Wright has 192 yards off 20 catches and a touchdown. The Titans are no longer desperate for Britt.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Titans have taken calls for teams interested in trading Britt. While they are not actively shopping the wide receiver, they are open to trading him with the right offer in place.

Britt recently took to Twitter to express his displeasure with how the team was handling him. After refusing to negotiate a new contract in the offseason, Britt claimed he was getting the "Jared Cook treatment." The Titans refused a new contract for Cook and let him disappear into the free agent mist. It appears Britt could be getting that same cold shoulder.

There are several teams that could be interested in trading for Britt. It is only natural to bring up the New England Patriots as Danny Amendola sits out with an injury. Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson appear to be developing well, so bringing in Britt would be a total shock. Julian Edelman is also proving to become a viable target for Tom Brady so the chance they trade for Britt who has known character issues is slim to none.

The Detroit Lions remain an option after the team lost Nate Burleson for the foreseeable future. The Lions had expressed interest in exploring the trade market, but so far have not made a move. His replacement, Ryan Broyles was only targeted once in the Lions' win over Chicago, but he is still coming back from a knee injury.

The Baltimore Ravens are the only other team that appears to be in big need of receiving help soon. Right now, Torrey Smith appears to be their biggest down-field threat. Second-year receiver Deonte Thompson is attempting to step up, but it is clear Joe Flacco needs help.

It is hard to see any team trading for Britt at this point in the year. Poor play and character issues are not a great mix. With the trade deadline creeping up, it will be interesting to see if someone jumps.
