The Aaron Hernandez murder case took an interesting turn on Friday, as his girlfriend and cousin were charged with crimes related to the case, including perjury charges for his fiancé Shayanna Jenkins.

According to ESPN.com, Jenkins was charged along with Hernandez's cousin Tanya Singleton in the case and the report says that calls to her lawyer were not returned for a comment. The report from ESPN.com says that Jenkins was charged with one count of perjury in the case, while Singleton was indicted on a new charge after she was already helped on contempt, as she was charged with conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact, which likely stems from her connection to accomplice Ernest Wallace, whom she helped buy a bus ticket after the murder.

The death of Lloyd was discovered back on June 17 and Hernandez was arrested for the crime the week after, which led to the Patriots releasing him that day. The police have been investigating the case for quite some time and Jenkins got pulled into things after police searched a storage unit in her name where they thought the murder weapon may have been stored. The report from ESPN.com says that Wallace is still being held on bail and that new information came out during his bail hearing this week.

The report says that new information has come out about Wallace the night of the murder, as accomplice Carlos Ortiz has changed up previous statements he made about how the shooting occurred, which could come back to haunt the state lawyers. Ortiz changed his story from saying that Wallace and Hernandez stepped out of the car the night of the murder to kill Lloyd, while now he says that it was just Hernandez.

Some of the evidence that was listed on the sheets in the original court documents included a scale that was located in a safe, a bath towel, ammunition, jeans, bandages, a jacket, a black duffel bag, Vitamin water, Nike sneakers, a piece of a mattress, a long sleeve short as well as other pairs of sneakers. The defense has said that the case is circumstantial, but the warrants show more and more evidence coming out. Jenkins appeared to be cooperative with the police before Hernandez called and she also said that Lloyd was a weed dealer.

The documents also show that on that Friday night before the killing, Hernandez and Lloyd got drunk and slept outside Lloyd's home and it also details text messages between the two the night of the murder. That night that they went to a nightclub called Rumor and one witness said that they saw Hernandez with a gun in his waist and were so drunk after that they never went inside. The document also shows that police searched a Nissan Altima rented by Hernandez that is reportedly the murder vehicle.
