Denver Broncos 2013 Schedule: Oakland Raiders On MNF Before Eagles, Cowboys and Redskins Ahead Of Week 9 Bye

Sep 23, 2013 01:20 PM EDT

The Denver Broncos are playing the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 3 and that game comes after the team dominated the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens to start the year and now they will get their division games started with the Bay Area Raiders coming to town.

The team already played against the Giants in Week 2 and before their bye in Week 9, the Broncos will finish out their NFC East matchup schedule with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in consecutive weeks and then they will play the Jaguars and the Colts in Weeks 6 and 7 before playing the Washington Redskins at home in Week 8.

The Broncos have a bye in Week 9 and that comes at the perfect time, as the season is split up into two eight-game halves with the team already winning two to start. After playing the Colts on the road and the Redskins at home, the team will go on a stretch that could decide their season. The team opens with a road division game on the west coast against the Chargers, then the team is at home against the now 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs.

Everyone thought the Chiefs would be better this season, but a 3-0 start has been very surprising and it could be Kansas City and Denver battling things out at the end of the year for the division and these games could help decide it. The two will play again two weeks after that, as the Chiefs will host the Broncos at Arrowhead and that is never an easy thing for visiting teams.

Making that stretch even more crucial, the New England Patriots will host the Broncos at home in Week 12 and that game on Sunday night between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady could be one of the highlights of the year. The team finishes off with a home game against Tennessee and a home game with the Chargers before going on the road against the Texans and the Oakland Raiders.
