The Cowboys and Chiefs are coming off Week 1 victories. The Cowboys feel great about the way they started their year after beating the New York Giants 36-31. Once again, the Cowboys were able to best their rivals and they appeared to do it with ease as they forced five turnovers, making the Giants' lives impossible in the season opener. Things were so bad for New York, they were forced to resign Brandon Jacobs once again.
Tony Romo having more say on offense proved clutch. He seemed to know exactly where Miles Austin and Jason Witten were on the field as the veterans caught half of his completed passes and more than half of his 263 passing yards.
The Cowboys face a dangerous and rejuvenated Chiefs team. They have a quarterback that has won in the past in Alex Smith and they have a running back that took the NFL to school in 2012 in Jamaal Charles. Health is always a question in the NFL, but if these two guys can remain healthy during the season, the Chiefs will make some knows.
Their defense stepped up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, allowing nothing. The only reason the Jaguars put points up on the board was because they forced a safety to open up the scoring. Their offense was nonexistent and the Chiefs did a great job preventing them from building any kind of momentum. The defense will be under a lot of pressure today as Romo and the 'Boys are more experienced and talented than the Jaguars. However, the Cowboy defense will have to remain focused and play all 60 minutes of today's game.
