Week 2 of the NFL season has a great set of games on Sunday, including the Giants and Broncos playing each other and some fantasy owners are looking for the best players to start and some names to watch include Eric Decker, Larry Fitzgerald, Roddy White, Marlon Brown, Jamaal Charles and Julio Jones.

The second week of the football season got started up on Thursday night with the New England Patriots and the New York Jets playing on NFL Network for the first time this season and the game had plenty of fantasy options, including Tom Brady, Stevan Ridley, Geno Smith, Chris Ivory, Julian Edelman and sleeper of the week Kellen Winslow.

Brady and the Patriots opened the season with a last second victory over the Buffalo Bills and after wideout Danny Amendola made 10 catches for 104 yards, Julian Edelman will take over as the number one target and he should be considered a prime fantasy option after making two touchdown receptions in Week 1. Amendola tweaked his groin in the win against the Bills and despite being able to play the rest of the game after coming off the field, he will be held out on Thursday night.

The Patriots will host the Jets on Thursday night at home and after Amendola did his best Wes Welker impression on Sunday, he will have to wait to make his home debut. Patriots fans may be worried about Amendola's injury history since he will miss a game already, but it likely is more because it is a quick turnaround for a Thursday game rather than because of the severity of the injury. Amendola played in just 11 games over the past two years, but as of right now his injury does not appear to be all that serious, but fantasy owners should try to snag either Edelman or rookie Kenbrell Thompkins, who Brady also targeted Sunday.

The Patriots and fantasy owners also have to worry about Shane Vereen, who will be out for at least until week 11 after getting surgery on his wrist and being placed on the injured reserve return list. Vereen was great for the Patriots with over 100 yards rushing on Sunday after Stevan Ridley fumbled, but now he will be out for a while and it could be a big blow for fantasy owners and an essential handcuff is LeGarrette Blount or Brandon Bolden.

The Giants snagged Brandon Jacobs to serve as a backup to David Wilson and now Da'Rel Scott will likely get fewer carries going forward. The Giants lost in bad fashion on Sunday night with two fumbles from David Wilson and the turnovers led to points and now the team has Jacobs back after releasing him last year. The Giants got off to a miserable start and now have the Denver Broncos coming to town and after Eli Manning threw for 450 yards and four touchdowns, he will face off against his brother Peyton, who had seven last week.

Some other players to look at include tight ends like Jared Cook, Jordan Cameron and Julius Thomas, who had two touchdown receptions last week and could put up big numbers against the Giants. The Ravens gave up big numbers to Thomas on Thursday night and Cameron will be matched up with them on Sunday and could be poised for a big game. Roddy White and Jones are banged up and Marlon Brown is a great option in most leagues.
