The Texas Longhorns are reeling after a tough loss against BYU that saw the team embarrassed after giving up over 500 yards rushing and now the team must try to rebound against Ole Miss at home on Saturday and it could be a landmark game for Mack Brown.

Texas has not looked good over the past couple years and with the team missing out on recruiting Robert Griffin and Johnny Manziel, the team must try and save this season after going 1-1 over their first two games and now they will have the chance to defeat the Rebels at home. The team is ranked 25th in the nation and Texas is looking to get back on track and the game is on the Longhorns network. The team is passing for a ton of yards, but it hasn't translated into wins yet and after changing defensive coordinators Brown hopes he has solved his issues.

The team is ranked 17th in passing yards per game and 29th in rushing with nearly 250 yards and the team is scoring nearly 40 points per game, but they are also ranked 54th in points allowed. The team was killer in its opening win over New Mexico State and the team will play Kansas State and Iowa State before a huge game against Oklahoma. That game could be the tipping point for Brown and he could be on the hot seat after losing that.

The next game is against TCU and then Kansas at home before playing West Virginia on the road and that could be a very tough test. The team plays Oklahoma State and then Texas Tech before finishing the season against Baylor on the road and if things don't turn around there could be some issues for Brown going forward. The team is at a crossroads and if they end up with a losing record or in a bad bowl game, Brown could be out of a job.
