Baltimore Ravens Rumors: Anquan Boldin Trade Comes Back To Bite Team As Tandon Doss, Josh Cribbs or Austin Collie Signing To Replace Jacoby Jones?

The Baltimore Ravens traded away star receiver Anquan Boldin after the Super Bowl and after he torched the Packers on Sunday and the team lost Jacoby Jones to a knee injury, the trade clearly is coming back to bite the team.

According to ESPN.com, Jones was injured in the blowout loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday and now the team is looking at other possibilities to sign to replace him. Jones could be out for a month with his knee and ESPN.com says that the team is planning on signing back Tandon Doss, while names like Josh Cribbs and Austin Collie also could come up.

The report from the Baltimore Sun says that Doss was cut with the 53-man roster deadline and now he comes back after being a fourth round pick and making just seven catches ion 20 games in his career. Doss also played in the preseason making five catches for 75 yards in three games and now the team is scrambling to add someone as they get ready for next week against the Cleveland Browns.

The team could go after another receiver depending on how Doss plays, but now the trade of Boldin to the 49ers looks a bit foolish after he made 13 catches for 208 yards and one touchdown and that was nearly as much as the whole Ravens team did on Sunday.
