After two weeks of some amazing tennis and some amazing play from the top players in the world, the US Open is starting to wind down and now the men will play after Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka set up the women's finals and Novak Djokovic will play Stanislas Wawrinka, while Rafael Nadal will be playing Richard Gasquet for a chance to make it to the finals.
Nadal has been playing some of the best tennis of his life and after defeating Tommy Robredo, he is still undefeated on hard courts and now he is poised to make it to the finals in Flushing again. Djokovic will play Wawrinka after he upset defending champion Andy Murray and Nadal avoided a matchup with Roger Federer that everyone wanted so badly, but Gasquet is no slouch and he played a great match to advance past David Ferrer. Djokovic looked strong as he advanced and a Nadal matchup looks like it is looming, but both players left in the semis can put up fights and the top players know what's coming.

Djokovic has not been challenged much through his run to the semis and the way Nadal has moved he has looked dominant at times and the final could be one for the ages. Nadal knows better than to think that he can just waltz into the finals and after playing some solid opponents, he will play Gasquet after he outlasted Ferrer and with him finally realizing some of the potential he had as a young player, he could try and surprise Nadal.
Saturday will also have the doubles finals after Serena Williams and Venus Williams lost in the semis and now the last matchup will be Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka against Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua. Nadal has gone 20-0 on hard courts this year and Gasquet is in a semi for the first time since back in 2007 and now he goes up against Nadal with an 0-10 record against him in his career and the match will be on Arthur Ashe and will come after Djokovic and then the doubles final will be next. Murray had a rough go of it against Wawrinka and now he won't be defending his title and he looked frustrated at himself at times, breaking his racket at one point.
Nadal and Djokovic had an amazing match at the Australian Open and tennis fans are hoping for another matchup like that one and with the way Nadal is playing, he could end up winning another epic match. The Open has seen plenty of exciting matches and Williams and Azarenka should have a great finals, especially with the way Serena was able to win over Li Na in straight sets and she put up three 6-0 sets in a row over her last two matches and she will look to continue the amazing stretch since losing at the French Open last year and she could win her second slam with a win against Azarenka.
