Tim Tebow is now a free agent quarterback and one reason why the free agent part is sticking to him is because of that last part, the word "quarterback", as a report has come out saying that an NFL team was interested in Tebow at another position, but he was not looking to change things up.

According to Peter King from The MMQB, and NFL was interested in possibly signing Tebow, but the caveat would be that he would have to change positions, possibly to running back, fullback or tight end, but the quarterback refused. The report doesn't mention a team name, but it also says that the quarterback was approached by the Canadian Football League and USA Rugby and turned those offers down as well.

When Tebow was released by the Jets earlier in the year, he had similar offers from the Arena League and Indoor League and he did not give those any thought either. Tebow clearly wants to be an NFL quarterback, but after playing with the Patriots through the preseason and then still getting cut, things aren't looking good. Tebow's old coach Josh McDaniels was with the Patriots and he may not get that kind of treatment anywhere else in the league.

The report states that Tebow wants to compete as an NFL quarterback and that is how he would return to the league, but clearly not many teams are going after him as a QB. Tebow came onto the scene with the Broncos and stunned everyone with his comeback playoff win over the Steelers in overtime, but as quickly as that happened, Peyton Manning signed and he was traded away to the Jets and everyone knows how that went.

Tebow has not done enough for anyone to think he can be a legitimate starter in the NFL, but after winning a playoff game, something that many other QBs have never done, perhaps he deserves another look.
