Lamar Miller, Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Ryan Tannehill Fantasy Football Week 1 Draft Options For Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are coming into the season with playoff expectations after spending a bunch in the offseason and after bringing in Mike Wallace and bringing back Brian Hartline, the offense is expected to be much more productive and consistent.

The team has Ryan Tannehill back for his second season and after looking solid at times, he has more weapons on offense with Wallace and new starter Lamar Miller, but he will be without Dustin Keller after he was injured in the preseason and now he is out for the year. Miller takes over for Reggie Bush and as one of the fastest players in the league, he could put up some solid numbers.

Last season Hartline was a leader for the Dolphins and he should do even better now that Wallace in on the other side of the field. Daniel Thomas could be a sleeper, but Miller will get the bulk of the carries and if the team can score on a consistent basis, the three main players all could be solid in fantasy. The best bet is Wallace, but the player with the biggest upside is Miller at running back, as he could get some catches out of the backfield and could put up some very nice numbers as a starter.

The Dolphins made some bold moves in the offseason with the signing of wide receiver Mike Wallace and the draft day trade to pick Dion Jordan and after a slight contract issue and an injury, it appears the rookie and the wideout will both be on the field for opening day on Sunday against the Browns.

According to ESPN.com, Jordan, who had been dealing with a shoulder injury, isn't expected to miss Week 1 of the season after that was a possibility last week. Jordan was at practice and said that he felt good and was excited for his debut in the NFL after being a defensive star for the Oregon Ducks. The Dolphins traded up on draft day with the Oakland Raiders for the number three pick to select Jordan, while Oakland picked cornerback DJ Hayden with the 12th pick.

Jordan had shoulder surgery in the offseason and that did not stop the Dolphins from drafting him and clearly it won't stop him from playing on Sunday. He didn't do much in camp over the summer and he hasn't played since getting injured against the Jags in the second preseason game. The Dolphins are hoping for a bolstered defense after adding Jordan, corner Brent Grimes as well as linebacker Philip Wheeler.

Last season the team missed the playoffs again and ranked 27th in the league in passing yards allowed per game, while the rush defense was ranked 13th in rushing yards allowed per game. Ryan Tannehill is expected to improve this season and adding Wallace could make the offense explosive.
