After a transfer move that brought German international Mesut Ozil to Arsenal over the weekend, new reports suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo has told his Portugal teammates that he is very unhappy about the sale of his former teammate.

The former Manchester United winger is reported to have said: "The sale of Ozil is bad news for me. He is the player who knows best my movements in front of goal. I am very unhappy about the sale."

The Real Madrid star is currently back at home preparing for Friday's World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland in Belfast.

Ozil has provided 27 assists for Ronaldo at Real Madrid - the most in his career. The next best are Karim Benzema (17) and Ryan Giggs (16).

The sale of Ozil was supported by Real after the club finally secured the world record signing for Gareth Bale Sunday from the Gunners rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, and now they have been reported to looking to recoup some of the £85.3m they spent on the Welshman.

With Ozil on the way, the Gunners plan to pay outcast striker Nicklas Bendtner £3m to leave the club for Crystal Palace reports the Metro.

A number of clubs have shown interest in acquiring Bendtner, most notably SC Frankfurt and Hull City have attempted to a agree to a deal only to find an impasse with regards to the player's wage demands.
