Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker Top Fantasy Football WR Targets For Peyton Manning As Tom Brady Patriots Offense Takes Hit

The Denver Broncos are heading into the season with Super Bowl expectations and fantasy football wise, the roster could be one of the best in the league for Peyton Manning, as he has three receivers that could be top 10 points producers, including Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker.

The Patriots let Wes Welker go in free agency after not wanting to pay him too much and now he leaves Tom Brady's offense after making 116 catches for 1,354 yards and six touchdowns and he could be even better in the offense with Peyton Manning this year.

Last season both Decker and Thomas were excellent while playing with Manning for the first time and he passed for 4,659 yards and 37 scores while completing nearly 70 percent of his passes. Many fantasy owners are worried that the three receivers will take away production from each other, but there is precedent for three players performing, including when Kurt Warner and the Cardinals did it.

The Broncos are expected to be a high scoring team once again this season and some can argue that adding Welker will only give the receivers more opportunities to put up numbers. Thomas made 94 catches for 1,434 yards and 10 touchdowns last season while averaging over 15 yards per catch and Decker was second on the team with 1,064 yards and 85 catches to go along with 13 scores. Manning also got Jacob Tamme and Brandon Stokley involved and that's where Welker's production will come from.

The team also has a talented tight end in Joel Dreessen and Manning knows how to spread the ball around after doing it last season and all three could end up with over 70 catches and 1,000 yards. Welker has been one of the best receivers in the league over the past five years with the Patriots and Tom Brady's offense could suffer without him after bringing in oft-injured Danny Amendola to replace him.
