Real Madrid finally pulled off the most talked about transfer deal of the summer in snagging Gareth Bale from Tottenham and now that the move is complete, the team can relish in their third win in three tries this year after a victory over Athletic Bilbao that also saw Cristiano Ronaldo's first goal of the season.

The team got the win at the Bernabeu and puts them on a nice roll as the club finally adds Bale, which was rumored for quite some time and finally got done after a record transfer. According to ESPN.com, the deal finally went through at around €100 million and trumps the 80 million that was spent on Ronaldo's transfer from Manchester United and now the 24-year-old moves to one of the most high-profile clubs in the world and the move finally brings the whole ordeal to a close.

Bale was frustrated at the slowness of the deal and now that things are complete the club has two of the best players in the world with Bale and Ronaldo and reports say that he signed a six-year deal with the team. Bale thanked Tottenham for his time there and was thankful that the deal got done and he comes after being the PFA Footballer of the Year in both 2011 and 2013 and scored 21 goals in 34 games. The club had hoped to keep Bale, but eventually that became unrealistic and that started off the dealing between the two sides that took weeks to finish.

The Spurs have already added a number of players to the team this summer, including Nacer Chadli, Paulinho and Roberto Soldado and now Bale will head to Real Madrid, where he hopes to play in the Champions League.
