The Texas A&M Aggies will take the field on Saturday for the first time this season and Johnny Manziel will be on the sidelines for the beginning of the game after getting suspended and he will be the focus for Rice after being named Player of the Year by the AP and winning the Heisman Trophy.
Manziel was suspended for violating the spirit of the rule and since the NCAA could not actually prove he did anything wrong, Johnny Football will be on the sidelines and Kenny Hill along with Matt Joeckel likely will play ahead of Manziel while he is on the sidelines. Rice is ready for the matchup with or without Manziel and the autograph situation has played itself out a bit and now can be on the sidelines as the Alabama game is upcoming in two weeks.

The NCAA couldn't hit him with anything real and this comes after Manziel had a record breaking season with his passing and rushing yards and led the Aggies to an 11-2 record last year in the SEC and now Hill and Joeckel come in to get some time ahead of Manziel, with Hill coming in from Texas originally as a freshman and last year in high school he passed for nearly 3,000 yards and scored over 40 combined touchdowns and put up numbers like Manziel did.
The Aggies went 6-2 in the SEC last year and 5-1 against the West and they handed Alabama their only loss of the year and went 4-2 against top 25 teams while Manziel passed for 3,706 yards and rushed for 1,410 yards ot lead the team. After opening against Rice, the team will play Sam Houston before hosting Alabama and then the team will play SMU before heading to Arkansas and Ole Miss in back to back games and then they will host Auburn. Vanderbilt and UTEP are next and then they will have Mississippi State before playing LSU and finishing on the road at Missouri.
