The Aaron Hernandez murder case involving Odin Lloyd has taken many turns since the news broke earlier in the summer and the tight end's cousin Tanya Cummings-Singleton has been in the middle of things, including refusing to testify against Hernandez in the grand jury, forcing her to get locked up.

According to ESPN.com, Singleton appeared in court last week after being arrested for not appearing in front of the grand jury and she pleaded not guilty to a contempt charge after not testifying in the case. The grand jury indicted Hernandez for first degree murder in the case of Odin Lloyd and she has been locked up all month after not testifying despite being given immunity in the case. Hernandez was arrested soon after the body of Lloyd was found and now Singleton is caught in the middle, as a Rolling Stone article writes that they were very close, meaning that she does not want to testify against him.

Singleton had her cell phone and credit card and bank records looked at and she is also from Bristol and allegedly bought a bus ticket for Ernest Wallace to go to Florida after the murder. The report also says that Ortiz spoke about the killing with her and that the two came to her house after the killing. Wallace was also indicted and now Hernandez's case will move to superior court, where he will later be arraigned.

Tanya is Dennis's niece and the daughter of Uncle Tito, who also had his house searched and he is also from Bristol. Tanya was married to Jeffery Cummings, who later cheated on her with Terri, the wife of Dennis and the mother of Hernandez. Later the two divorced and Terri and Cummings got married and at one point the two had an incident at a UConn game and slapped her for what she was doing. When the two divorced, Terri had him move in with them.

Tanya and Aaron were close according to the Rolling Stone article, as both dealt with loss in their lives and she also had a kid to take care of from the relationship with Cummings. Hernandez started hanging around with her and she had Wallace and Ortiz in her circle as well as other people, including her next husband TL, who police also wanted to question, but he died in an accident before they had the chance. She still remains in custody and Hernandez faces his next court date on September 6 in superior court.
