New England Patriots Rumors: Bill Belichick Avoids Tim Tebow, Aaron Hernandez Questions, Robert Kraft Rooting for Quarterback After Preseason Play

Bill Belichick is not interested. He is not interested in questions about Aaron Hernandez and then in-depth Rolling Stone article detailing an ongoing murder investigation. He is not interested in diving into the future of quarterback Tim Tebow and whether or not he will make the final roster. Bill Belichick has no time for any of that. So when reporters swarmed the coach after the preseason finale, naturally he gave them the cold shoulder regarding everything.

When asked about the Aaron Hernandez article, Belichick responded, " I don't have anything to add." When asked if the Patriots would be retaining Tebow on the final roster, Belichick said, "Whoever we keep will be because of the value they bring to the team." So that pretty much answers it right?

Multiple reports have surfaced since Aaron Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of murder. Rolling Stone reported the Patriots were actually considering cutting the tight end prior to his arrest. He had missed workouts in the spring due to a domestic dispute. Many were under the belief that one more misstep would lead to Hernandez's release.

The tight end has been one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite targets over the year. Last season he put up 483 yards and five touchdowns in 10 starts. With several other big targets either injured or gone, releasing Hernandez would have put the Patriots at a big loss. Belichick would not reveal whether any of the article was true or not.

Belichick also has to make one of the biggest decisions headlining the NFL. He remains the final factor in whether or not the quarterback stays on the team past Saturday's roster deadline. While owner Robert Kraft has said he is rooting for Tebow, but Belichick gets the final say on his future.

Tebow did all he could to prove he deserves a roster spot. In the team's preseason finale, the quarterback went 6-of-11 in passing for 91 yards and two touchdowns. That is a world of difference from his last preseason performance where he put up -1 yard in passing.

According to CBSSports.com, when asked if he had done enough to make the roster, Tebow said, "I'm not sure. I don't make those decisions...I'm blessed because of my faith that I don't have to worry about the future because I know who holds my future. A lot of times people use that as a cliche, but it's something I try to live by."

Belichick is the keeper of the Patriots secrets. While some coaches like to remain very open (Rex Ryan) Belichick stays as coy as ever. It seems to be working for the Patriots.
