San Francisco 49ers NFL Schedule: Final Preseason Game vs. Chargers In San Diego, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks Next

Aug 29, 2013 10:58 AM EDT

The San Francisco 49ers made it to the Super Bowl last season and that is exactly where they would like to end up again after the 2013 season and after playing the San Diego Chargers in week 4 of the preseason that campaign will begin with the Packers and Seahawks in the first two games of the season.

The 49ers will be looking for some solid play from the backup quarterbacks behind Colin Kaepernick and Colt McCoy and BJ Daniels will have a chance to win the job on Thursday. Scott Tolzien was released to leave McCoy and Daniel and Jim Harbaugh is hoping one steps up while Seneca Wallace could also get chances. The 49ers are hoping to make it through without any big injuries after already losing Michael Crabtree earlier in the offseason.

The team lost to the Broncos and then defeated the Chiefs and Vikings in the Preseason and will open in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers in a playoff rematch at home. The team will travel to Seattle for the Seahawks and then they will host the Indianapolis Colts. The team will travel to play the Rams next and then will host the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.

The team has a breather with the Titans and Jaguars in road games before their bye, then the second part of the season starts with a home game against the Panthers before playing the New Orleans Saints. The team then plays at Washington for a Monday night matchup with the Redskins before hosting two division games with the Rams and Seahawks.

The 49ers finish off the season with a road game against Tampa Bay before hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night football. The team then closes with a road game against the Cardinals.
